Although the Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 Phone is not made for high end product like Samsung Rogue, the Intensity offers a very affordable price that has an impressive design and basic multimedia features. As one of Samsung slider messaging phones, the intensity also joins his family that has an integrated GPS receiver they allows you to get access to the Verizon wireless Navigation Service.
Design
Like Samsung Gravity, the Samsung Intensity has a candy bar sleek design with a smooth curved corner and a matte soft-touch plastic that feels comfortably in your hands. Besides, it is also compact and light weight that will not weigh your pocket.
For the front face, you find a 2.1 screen display that supports for 262,000 colors with a 176 x 220 pixel resolution. You can manage the screen’s brightness, backlight time, the clock format on home screen.
A navigation array sits under the screen with two soft keys and circular toggle on the top as well as an alpha numeric keypad . The keys are quite spacious that enable you to press accurately and nicely.
When the intensity is slid out, you find qwerty keyboard while the display will change from vertical to horizontal orientation. Although, the keys are not spacious enough like the Rogue but you still experience a responsive and smooth keys as they are raise above the surface.
Features
The Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 Phone can store up to 1000-entry phone books with multiple number in each entry that supports for picture and ringer ID. The intensity is also supported with basic features like a speakerphone, a vibrate mode, a calculator, a calender, an alarm clock stopwatch, a world clock and notepad.
As a messaging phone, the Intensity definitely has text and multimedia messaging. There’s a threaded messaging feature too, so you can view threaded conversations easier. The Intensity can also do e-mail via mobile e-mail or mobile Web e-mail. Mobile e-mail is a downloadable application that lets you get e-mail from a variety of providers directly to an in-box on your phone, while mobile Web e-mail simply provides you shortcut access to Web e-mail providers via the browser.
The Intensity comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera on the back of the phone that enable you to snap still photos with six resolution options and 10x digital zoo. It also features a dedicated camera key, brightness and white balance adjustments, color effects, multishot capabilities, vibrating alert, self timer and multiple sound effect.
For the battery life, the Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 is supported with 960mAh that is rated up to 5 hours for talk time and 12.5 days for stand by time.
