LG Rumor2 Phone, Titanium (Sprint) At Glance
After a year and a half since the original Rumor’s come out, Sprint and LG released the LG Rumor2 Phone. The Rumor2 is and easy-to-use phone with the spacious keyboard and good call quality. However, it does not support for EV-DO for high speed internet access and the camera still remains low resolution 1.3 megapixel.
The LG Rumor2 Phone is not a smartphone, but the Rumor 2 is designed to excel at text messaging, e-mail, and IM. Sprint’s messaging phones handle e-mail better than any of the other carriers’, thanks to Sprint’s excellent Seven e-mail program, which pushes most consumer e-mail accounts to your phone and can sync e-mail with Microsoft Exchange. But that’s not a unique feature—the Rant has the same software, and runs faster on Sprint’s 3G network.

- Organizer tools: Alarm Clock, Calculator, Scheduler, Notepad, World Clock, Ez Tip Calculator, D-Day Counter, and Unit Converter
- 30 unique ringers plus vibrate and silent modes
- Restrict & Lock: restrict incoming/outgoing calls to contacts/ special numbers only, data services, camera, and photo album
- Alert Tones: set different tones for voice-mail, text messages, picture mail, voice SMS, and e-mail
- USB mass storage capabilities for easy transfer of files between PC and phone
- Digital audio player supports MP3 files (sideload files from PC to memory card only)
- Airplane mode turns off cellular connectivity while allowing you access to music player and other features
- Speaker-Independent Voice Dialing: Say the name of any entry in your phone book and the number is dialed automatically without using the keypad. This feature is speaker-independent, so there is no need to train the phone to respond to any one person’s voice. Receive an audible status report of your phone/s coverage, signal strength, and battery strength.
- TTY Compatible: This phone connects to a TTY device, allowing anyone who is visually- or hearing-impaired the ability to communicate.
- Hearing Aid Compatibility: This handset has been certified as Hearing Aid Compatible in accordance with applicable industry standards. This handset has a HAC rating of M3 for hearing aids operating in the acoustic mode.

The LG Rumor2 weighs 4.2 ounces and measures 4.4 x 2.1 x 0.7 inches. Its 950 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 5. hours of talk time, and up to 168 hours of standby time. It runs on the 800/1900 CDMA frequencies; 1xRTT Voice & Data Capable.
