nokia5250If we take a look at the design of the Nokia 5250, it is much more similar to the Nokia C6 rather than the 5230 Nuron. The Nokia 5230 Nuron might soon see an offspring in the near future to take over its place. However, it is rumored to be the Nokia 5230’s successor but it is still no information about the detailed technical specification, but the model name suggests it’s a Symbian device closer to the wallet-friendly 5230 than the more upmarket X6. Based on the image, you can gather that the screen might be a little bit smaller compared to the Nokia 5230, but then again, it would fit perfectly in being an affordable handset. Read more

Nokia X2 : A New Nokia Music Phone

Nokia X2After release of Nokia N8 with its incredible 12MP camera, Nokia announces Nokia X2 for lower-end users.

Unlike the Nokia X6, the Nokia X2 (for me) has an average candy bar design with such great features. The X2 is also a music phone that features dedicated music controls on its left side. Like its predecessors as a Nokia music phone, the Nokia X2 is a candy bar phone that sports a 5 Megapixel camera with flash. Beside a 3.5mm jack (a must feature for music phones), the Nokia N8 has 2.2-inch QVGA screen that will allow you to easily browse the internet using Opera Mini. The X2 also offers direct access to Facebook from the homescreen and comes with Nokia Messaging goodness for email and Instant Messaging.

The X2 will be available before the end of June for about $110 (EUR 85) before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia Nuron 5230 Phone Review

Nokia Nuron 5230 PhoneThe Nokia Nuron 5230 has strategically released for T-Mobile as it finally brings forth a carrier branded Nokia touchscreen device. In spite of its arrival, the Nokia Nuron 5230 has the monumental task of bringing the limelight back to them in the US as it finds itself in the thick of competition.

As we’ve already seen with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and 5530 XpressMusic, the Nokia Nuron 5230 follows in tradition to those handsets in design. Clad in a white and silver color scheme, the Nuron’s plastic feeling exterior doesn’t exude a high-quality design that would impress anyone holding it for the first time. Granted though it’s extremely light weight when compared to other similar phones, the Nuron is your typical pocketable touchscreen phone that can slip into a pocket unnoticed. Despite it’s plasticy feel, the construction feels solid like it should due to the fact there are no moving parts to make us worry about how it’ll hold up in the long run.

The Nuron 5230 is the first Nokia handset to come with free navigation thanks to the included Ovi Maps 3.0. Maps of the U.S., Canada and Mexico are preloaded and users can even access 180 other maps. Read more

The Nokia X6 mobile phone comes with a lush 3.2-inch widescreen capacitive touch display, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash, integrated GPS with free Ovi Maps Navigation, and 16 GB of internal memory. You’ll find tons of space to save your pictures, music, video clips and data, and you can always grab more games and applications downloaded from the Ovi Store.

The home screen features a dedicated Media Bar touch key for quick access to your stored music and video, online sharing sites, and Web browser. It also includes a customizable Contacts Bar where you can easily make calls and manage messages as well as follow up to 20 Web feeds from online friends–from social networks, personal blogs, Twitter feeds and more. You’ll be able to quickly send text messages and e-mail as well as update your own status thanks to the onscreen QWERTY keyboard, which automatically changes orientation depending on how the phone is rotated.

Other features include Wi-Fi networking, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free devices and stereo music streaming, a full HTML Web browser, access to personal and corporate e-mail (with ability to view attachments), stereo FM radio, and up to 6 hours of talk time on 3G networks (up to 11.5 hours on standard non-3G GSM networks).
